Our Gingerbread spotting

Aunt Steph's daughter is doing a fun thing with her school class.  They are looking for the runaway Gingerbread Man and asked for help with sightings of him.  We had fun making a letter and taking these pictures to send to her class.  Family is so great to let us have fun even from far away.

Grandpa & Grandma Waddoups' Day of Christmas with us

Grandpa and Grandma Waddoups do a day of Christmas with activities that the kids might like instead of presents.  It is a lot of fun.  My kids love eating out, watching movies, and making things.  That is just what they got.  They made a nativity by painting little figures--it turned out adorable (picture will come at a later post).  They also made little elf picture frames with a picture of them inside--that was a lot of hard work getting the pictures.  After crafting fun we went to Arctic Circle for dinner and play time on the playset.  Then it was back to their house for a movie.  They had tickets made for the showing of Christmas Oranges (A great feel good get you in the mood for Christmas we gave it a 7 thumbs up) with popcorn and a giant candy bar.  It was a great night.  THANKS GRANDPA AND GRANDMA--WE LOVE YOU.

PS-this was even more good because we had to change the date due to sickness.  Luckily it all worked out so nicely and hopefully as the sickness continues as it struck another the very next day we will be all better for the real Christmas--as that is a little harder to change.

Do you think they are related?  I didn't notice how they were standing and had
very similiar expressions on their face until looking at the photo more.

 

A A visit with Santa and Mrs. Clause

He is asking for Legos in great detail.  Isn't this precious.

William said this wasn't the right Santa because he didn't look fat like he was going to have a baby.
Kids say the funniest things.  He sure makes us laugh a lot.

Just a little note, I chose the orange background because it is Emily's favorite color and this blog helped me to count my blessings and not see the great trial our family faced as Emily went through Chemo for the first part of this year.  However, that is all a blur now and her Smile shines on and we are so glad to be done with CHemo and things seem to be going great--pray for this to stay.  So I am changing our background to celebrate that things are well and happy in the Waddoups home until the next storms and rainbows arrive.

some more Christmas Cheer

For those that may not get to come over before the holidays come and go--here is a look at some of our christmas cheer.  Yeah the presents are all wrapped, too.  Now we just enjoy our Savior's gifts and blessings while waiting for Santa.

Thanks Dad and Mom Jensen for creating these fun characters when I was younger and Oh it is nice to be the oldest and get things passed down to my kids.  (Too bad Trevor) and Thanks Aunt Julie the tree is a perfect addition--you are so good to look out for us and it truly is appreciated.

And the stockings were hung on the Piano with care.

These snowman do nicely and I like to see green on the ground.  I know it won't stay forever.

I ordered this fleece picture blanket knowing just where I wanted it. Thanks Dad and Ryan for being brave and getting it
up on the wall above the stairs.  And thanks Mom for creating the Decore to go on the shelf above.  You are all so awesome.  (Trevor you are awesome to have wanted to help, but do to circumstances we won't mention (Jeff locking you out--I can laugh a little now) couldn't help.  I love you all
I now can say I am HOME.

This was another one of Mom's creations for us when we were growing up and My kids love it just as me and my brothers did growing up.  Thanks Grandma the wait is funner.

Every time I look at this I don't think "Here comes Santa Clause" as most, but I

remember making it with My Aunt Dianne and my cousins Cindy and Jamie. You guys are the best and I am thankful for all the fun stays I had at your home

In looking at all this and thinking back of growing up and how blessed I am with a great family (both my little one and my extended ones) it made me think that

Home truly is where the Heart is

and I am thankful to have many Homes out there in this crazy world.

Thanks to all of you who make me feel right at home--you are a bit of my Heavenly Home and I am so grateful to have you as reminders to stay on the path so that I can make it

to the best Home of all at the end of this journey.
