Grandpa Waddoups B-day

 

 

It was fun celebrating and spending time with Grandpa and Grandma Waddoups before they take a short vacation and deal with new challenges in their life.  This is when I really treasure every moment.  And I am glad that all trials bring smiles--Look at grandpa's shoes.  He was already into his day when he noticed and he just kept going.  What an example--if Life gives you Lemons make Lemonade and don't stop stepping forward.

 



SURPRISE

Life is full of Suprises and I never know what to expect for the next day.  And I don't know if it is just me or if others are feeling that our days are getting shorter and time keeps going by faster and faster.  Some days this is a blessing, but many times I wonder how I even got through it and where all the time went and I sometimes feel very unaccomplished.  Luckily for these fast days there are so many tender mercies and smiles that help me remember  It may not be easy--but it is worth it.  Oh how my children and family both immediate and extended let me know IT IS WORTH IT.  Well I best catch you up on our happenings and let you enjoy my tender mercies.  (It may take a couple of blogs so my computer doesn't freeze with overload of all the smiley pictures.)

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Wow it is amazing that the year has gone by so fast.  So much has happened.  So many emotions have accompanied this year.  BUT I have to say that it truly has shown that BLESSINGS really do come with every TRIAL.  I am so very blessed to have my family and to capture so many smiles each and every day.  Life is precious  and I really wish that I could live every day like it was my last--it is sad, but true that we love more, speak kinder, do more important things with our time, and just live more Christlike when we think it may be the last day with someone or the last day for us.  I hope that I can treasure everyday of this year as it was my last.  I am so grateful to have the Gospel--The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in my life so I know that I have eternity to get to perfection--maybe with that long I just might make it.  Thanks for sharing all my blessings with me.

Snow Fun on New Years Day

Warming up my little Will.  He came in and said that we were on the beach and gave me these cool sunglasses and told me to warm him up on the beach with the warm sun.  I love all my Little ones and their precious smiles and those precious little thoughts.  It was a warm beach day--I love IMAGINATION.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Art supplies and David Archuletta--it is so hard to find things for this age and to find appropriate yet popular Music to listen too.  I am thankful for David's good clean, yet fun music.  Hope she has fun growing up.

We gave Grandpa and Grandma Waddoups a special made (pictures of the whole Jerry Waddoups Family) Calendar.

He got his Legos and there were many pictures of him carrying them around.  He is having so much fun with these.  Him and Veta have a cute sibling relationship.

Have to love those pictures that you are blessed to capture.  I think mom scored on these foam blocks.

The girls love playing cooking show and restaurant--the dishes were a big hit and so was the puppet show--seen below.  They have used it for so much--cooking shows are the hit though.  You should learn how to make a Popsycle Cake--I don't think I will try it in my kitchen.

  We were all very excited for Christmas to come as I know many of you were probably feeling the same way.  It was even more exciting since we thought we were going to be too sick to enjoy it.  Jonathan got sick with a flu bug (that we thought may be a change in a medicine for his acid reflux) for a few hours the Friday before Christmas--we thought we were doing good, but knew it was not his medicine and we were all in for a long night/day when  one by one the rest of us got sick Sunday (day before Christmas Eve).  I am sure that you are happy to not have pictures of this event.  Mom was too sick to hardly move and slept on the bathroom floor most of the day  the others were in the hall near the bathroom and we all took turns at the toilet and helped eachother hold buckets and hold back hair.  I was proud of my little man, William, he only missed the toilet once and that was because it was when he first got it and he was on his way to find Mom and Dad in the middle of the night.  My new carpet got to see if the carpet shampooer worked after helping clean up the flood--It does good at cleaning up messes and the new carpet is great to hide spills--not so fun when trying to know where to clean though.  Yippy--it was only a 24 hour bug and even though still a little tired and weak--we were all feeling good and had a great Christmas.  We did the Nativity for the Alztimers unit since our Ward was in charge of doing Family Home Evening for them.  The kids thought it was great.--I felt bad that I was enjoying watching so much that no pictures were taken.--My little Lamb was the hit of the show.  Grandpa and Grandma Waddoups spent Christmas Eve and Christmas with us and it was so nice.  Granpa was a great narrator and Granma was great on the Piano--thanks for always putting up with our crazy spir of the moment plans and traditions.   We also had a wonderful candlelight Christmas dinner.  It was even better after not wanting to eat much from being sick.  Then it was time to open that one fun Christmas Eve gift --Pajamas.  It was real fun this time because they also got new specially made pillow cases from Grandma Hen to sleep in.  They were all so excited to hurry and get to sleep on their new pillows and in their new PJs that only a couple funny games were needed before it was off to bed to wait for SANTA.
